Emilie Brown, PA-CPhysician Assistant
Emilie Brown is a physician assistant. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients with hip, shoulder, and knee injuries, and the use of ultrasound guided injections as part of the diagnosis and management of these injuries. She received her physician assistant master’s degree from Radford University in Roanoke, Virginia. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina, and stayed in Columbia for two years after graduation to work as a medical assistant in orthopaedics. Her experience working with sports medicine and hip arthroscopy patients began during this time including working alongside Dr. Dumont prior to becoming a physician assistant. This experience helped spark an interest in continuing to work in orthopaedics. Emilie also spent time during her training learning about hip evaluation at the Nashville Hip Institute with Dr. J.W. Thomas Byrd and renown ultrasound expert Elizabeth Bardowski, MSN, APN, ACNP-BC. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing volleyball and tennis, and spending time with friends and family.
