Nicole Battle, MS, ATC, OTC Athletic Trainer
Nicole Battle is a certified Athletic Trainer with special training and experience working in the physician practice setting. Nicole’s work is critical at every stage of our patients’ experience, as she helps coordinate patient and athlete evaluations, surgical scheduling and planning, and ensures that patients progress through various phases of their recovery as smoothly as possible. Nicole completed her Master’s degree in Advanced Athletic Training from USC in 2017. During her time as a graduate assistant she provided athletic training services to a local youth football league, high school athletes and at the University of South Carolina Sports Medicine clinic. She also worked as assistant athletic trainer at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School in Columbia, SC. Nicole went on to complete the Athletic Training residency program at PHUSC, honing additional skills assisting during surgical procedures and coordinating clinical care. Prior to moving to Columbia, Nicole received her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Connecticut (UConn), where she worked with the UConn women’s ice hockey team, as well as several Division III and high school athletic programs. In addition, Nicole served as an Athletic Training Intern to the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League in Cape Cod, MA, during the summer of 2014. Nicole is a Certified Orthopaedic Technologist and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Athletic Trainer in the Physician Practice Society.
